What do we do

Stacey Processing Ltd specialise in the processing and recycling of waste glass from households and businesses across the UK. We produce glass products to suit a range of needs from colour sorted glass for remelt to shot blasting media.

Our History

Our History

We’ve come a long way in the last 15 years, from recycling a few tonnes of glass bottles a week in 2009 we now recycle over 500 tonnes of discarded glass per week. During this time we have drastically refined and improved our process. From a small crusher with a screen, we now proudly own three screening plants and a colour sorter. We have implemented multiple state of the art cleaning systems to produce superior products.

We are Proud to announce that in April this year we surpassed recycling 250,000 tonnes of glass which could otherwise have taken up precious and unsustainable space at landfill sites.

Benefits of Recycling Glass

Benefits of Recycling Glass

Recycling glass reduces the amount of waste going to landfill which can lead to harmful gasses being produced. Although glass itself will not produce harmful gases, paper labels and food/drink within the containers will break down and release these gasses into the atmosphere.

Glass is a great product to recycle as it can be endlessly recycled with no loss of quality. It has lots of great uses once processed, such as being remade into glass bottles or used for shot blasting media.

Our Social Goals

Our Social Goals

The Stacey Group wants to be seen as a pillar of support for the local community. Working with the community within our local area we want to continue promoting and investing in local educational and leisure facilities. We have an active donation program for which we provide necessary equipment to local schools and we are active sponsors of local leisure teams. We have also recently purchased a road sweeper, to minimize our impact on the local road network, helping to keep roads clean and free from debris. In the summer this also acts as additional dust suppression.

Environmental Impact

Environmental Impact

Its 2022 and there is a lot of pressure on everyone to do their ‘bit’ for the environment. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and reducing our reliance on fossil fuels. We have made significant improvements to plant and equipment over the years. We use recycled fuels where possible in accordance with our sustainability ethos. We will continue to develop new ways in which we can improve our green mentality and combat climate change.
